What is Urban Scholar Saturday Academy?
Our Urban Scholar Saturday Enrichment Academy is targeted for students currently ages 5-16.
Every Saturday, from 9:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m., our experienced instructors will help students explore specialized areas of science , engineering, dance, drama, sewing, piano, and coding in fun and engaging ways!

Science & Engineering Academy
[Includes "Hidden Figures" Motion Picture Movie Screning, "HIdden Figures" Engineering & Character Development Lessons (Taught By IBM Staff), Science Fair Project Curriculum & Competition, Sky Zone & Sea World (Overnight) Field-Trips, Community Service Project ( Beach Clean-Up)

DANCE CLASSES (Weekly)
[ Led by professional dance instructors of Educational Theater Institute, scholars will learn dance compositions and improvisations related to the production of “Lion King. Performance for the general audience will proceed. No experience required.]
DRAMA CLASSES (Weekly)
[ Led by professional drama instructors of Educational Theater InstituteTM, scholars will study the play, “Lion King“ in order to perform the production to the general audience. No experience required.]
SEWING CLASSES (1st & 3rd)
[ Led by a professional seamstress, scholars will learn basic sewing techniques, pattern making, and will create fashion attire & accessories.]
CODING CLASSES (2nd & 4th)
Led by USC engineering specialists, students will create animated stories and games while learning game design and programming concepts with ScratchTM .
PIANO CLASSES (1st & 3rd)
Led by renowned pianist, Rei Williams, scholars will learn basic music notation, sight music literature, and perform a variety of musical selections. Recital to proceed.
